01 — Project details

The Little Theatre of Alexandria (LTA) requested assistance with managing its social media accounts. They are interested in promoting ticket sales and class registration and in gaining new volunteers. This project began in December 2025.

02 — Creative process

When looking over the social platforms, I saw some immediate fixes that could be made and several that will require a strategic approach. To hit the ground running, I implemented a social media content calendar and refined messaging to ensure objectives were met.

General Promotion: Alexandria Scottish Christmas Parade

LTA walks in this parade every year and promotes it on social media. I took what is usually a post saying they were there and turned it into an opportunity to promote the organization as a whole. When this was posted, it was the most viewed post in several weeks.

A Christmas Carol Review and Tickets

Positive reviews were beginning to come in, so I used it as an opportunity to sell more tickets through Facebook. Shortly thereafter, the show sold out.

School of Rock Casting Announcement

Cast announcements always do well for The Little Theatre of Alexandria, but this one even exceeded those expectations. I distributed it on a Friday morning, shortly before our audience typically checks their social media. There was no link because tickets had not yet gone on sale.

03 — Results

Preliminary results of the new social media program are encouraging. I am continuing to implement new strategies, processes, and analytical reviews to improve results.

The next project on the list is to create a campaign telling the stories of various volunteer roles that need additional support.
